Richard Oakley Clark, 76, of South Shore, entered the House of the Lord Saturday, July 29, 2017, at his Residence.
Mr. Clark was born April 13, 1941, in Ashland, a son of the late James Harrison and Daisy Ruth Meade Clark.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Ellen Gibson Clark; four sons, Russell Harrison Clark, Richard Oakley Clark Jr., Charles Samuel Clark and Robert Allen Clark; two brothers, Willard Clark and Billy Joe Clark; and one great-grandson, Tyler Joseph Caudill.
He was a Deacon at Eureka Enterprise Baptist Church.
He is survived by four daughters, Lorainia (Larry) Caudill of South Shore, Peggie (Randy) Rayburn of South Shore, Michele (Gary) Burton of Load and Amanda (Mark) Moore of Load; two brothers, Oscar (Katrina) Clark of Greenup and Charles (Alice) Clark of Grayson; three sisters, Laura Sparks of Ashland, Jeanie (Pat) Waugh of Ashland and Parmalee (Dan) Avaritt of Lebanon, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup with Elder Gary Burton and Elder Timothy Burton officiating. Burial will be in Burton-Clark Cemetery in Load.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and after noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
