Rick Ritchason, 54, of Ashland, passed away Monday, Jan. 29, 2018 in King's Daughters Medical Center surrounded by his friends and family.
He was born Jan. 8th, 1964, in East Dundee, Ill., the son of Omer "Rocky" Ritchason and Genevieve "Gerri" Gerardy.
He is survived by his siblings, Lonnie (Liz) Ritchason, Linda (Chuck Jesse) Cozza and Beth (Robert) Stakes.
He graduated from East Dundee Community High School and served in the U.S. Air Force, where he studied Administration and Supervision at the Community College of the Air Force.
He was employed as a flight attendant for American Airlines where he served as a member of American Airlines CARE team (Customer Assistance Relief Effort), a specially trained group of employees that are mobilized after major aircraft emergencies to provide services for passengers, crew members and their families.
Most recently, he was Operations Coordinator at River Cities Harvest, a local non-profit. He has blessed the Ashland community with volunteer services for countless organizations and served as a board member for Shelter of Hope.
A Celebration of Life will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at Central Baptist Church in Ashland.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to organizations that Rick held dear to his heart, River Cities Harvest, The Neighborhood, Shelter of Hope, United Way of Northeast Kentucky, Build Ashland and Clyffeside Worship.
