Ronald L. Riffe, 83 of Ironton, Ohio, fell asleep awaiting resurrection (John 11:11) Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018.
He was born Feb. 23, 1934, in Boyd County, a son of the late Edward and Ruby Whitt Riffe.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patty A. Gilley Riffe.
Ronald was an over-the-road truck driver and retired in 1996 from Matlack in Ironton, Ohio. He served as an elder in the Ironton congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for 32 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Rona (Dean) Hester of South Point, Ohio; two sons, Dennis (Wei) Riffe of New Jersey and Dale (Andrea) Riffe of Louisa; a sister, Donna (Bernard) Newman of Florida; six grandchildren, Shell Hester, Rhiannon Hester, Shannon (Gretchen) Hester, Tyler (Kelly) Hester, Jared Riffe and Matthan Riffe; and two great-grandchildren, Isabella Hester and Riley Ruth Hester.
He will be missed by family, friends and a host of spiritual brothers and sisters.
A Memorial Service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1604 Campbell Drive in Ironton, Ohio, with Brother Matthew Stallard officiating.
The family will receive friends at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hall.
