Russell Perry Harper, 75, of Alliance, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018.
He was born July 16, 1942, in Gimlett, to the late Bill and Maggie Barker Harper.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Harper.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and National Guard and a retired Chrysler employee. Russell is a member, Deacon and Trustee of Pennsylvania Freewill Baptist Church and United Auto Workers.
He is survived by his wife, Lydia Burton Harper; a son, Jeff Harper of Sebring; two daughters, Tina Boggs of Louisville and Melissa Harper of North Royalton; two grandsons, Aaron Boggs and Kyle Boggs, both of Louisville; his brother, Gary Harper of Grayson; two sisters, Edna Brewer of Morehead and Linda Harper of Georgetown; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home in Sandy Hook. Burial will be in Barker Cemetery in Elliott County.
Visitation will begin at noon Monday at the funeral home.
