Ruth Qualls Collins, 83, of Ashland, our precious mother and nanny, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Wed., Oct. 3, 2018 with family at her bedside.
She was a loving, caring Christian mommy and nanny to all her children, grandchildren and many friends. She was an excellent homemaker, cook and baker who welcomed all to her home and shared love and friendship to all.
She was the daughter of the late Willie and Goldie Boggs Qualls. She was the wife of Bob Collins who passed on to heaven in 1988. She was also preceded in death by two sisters; Irene Steele and Lucille Pelfrey; and one brother, Paul Qualls.
She is survived by three children, Judy (Gary) Brickey, Mark Collins who resides at the home place, and Tim (Mindy) Collins, all of Ashland; three grandchildren, Amber Brickey, Blake Collins and Reece Collins all of Ashland; beloved pets, Mia Marie, Willie, and Bo who she dearly loved. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, one special sister in law, Rita Collins and brother in law, David Collins both of Ashland, and a special cousin, Bertie (Bob) Hilyard of Lancaster, Ohio.
Funeral services will be conducted 1p.m. Mon., Oct. 8, 2018 at Miller Funeral Home by Brother Ivan Asbury. Burial will follow at Ashland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. till 1 p.m. Mon. Online condolences may be sent to mfhfuneralhome.com.
