Sara W. Miller, 86, passed away Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, in Kings Daughter's Medical Center after a short illness.
She was born in Hitchins, the daughter of late Lonnie and Edna
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Edna Gail Miller Fultz and her son, Command Sergeant Major George E Miller Jr.
She retired as a respiratory therapist from KDMC, where she worked for 40 Years.
She is survived by her long time companion, Larry Coalgrove; two
daughters, Judith Miller (Gary) Williams of Richmond and Tammy
Miller Mcvey (David Townsend) of Somerset; seven grandchildren, Chad Fultz (Lucy), Sara Fowler (Cory), Amanda Markle (Larry), Isaac Fultz, Courtney Goolsby, Taylor Lander (John) and Tanner McVey; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Sara had a sweet, kind soul and was loved by everyone who knew her. She had such a special place in her heart for the babies she worked with at KDMC that she had a hard time retiring at the age of 70.
She will be greatly missed by her daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all who knew her.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, at Lazear
Funeral Home in Ashland. Burial will be in East Carter Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 1 to to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
