Steven Randall "Randy" Slusher, 54, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, after a long battle with chronic pancreatitis and several other autoimmune disorders.
Steven is survived by his wife of 29 years, Pamela Medica Slusher; his two children, Garrett Paul Slusher and Shannon Marie Slusher; his beloved dog, Stimpy who spent 10 years keeping him company during the ups and downs of his health; a brother, William Howard Slusher Junior; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins who are scattered across Louisiana and Kentucky.
He was preceeded in death by his father, William Howard Slusher in 2015; and his mother, Joyce Elizabeth Slusher in 2016.
He will be greatly missed by his close friends and just about anyone who encountered him.
A special thank you goes to a handful of nurses at UK Medical Center who took especially good care of him to keep him calm, comfortable and warm during those rough days.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, at Dixon Cemetery in Westwood.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, at Caniff Funeral Home.
