Thomas Mantle Jr., 69, of Catlettsburg, went home to be with his savior, Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at his residence.
He was born July 18, 1948, in Ashland, the son of the late Thomas Sr. and Ethel Coleen Boyd Mantle.
He was a retired 911 Dispatcher, a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam war and of the Pentecostal faith.
Thomas was a loving husband, wonderful father, loving grandfather, caring brother and a great friend.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Jean Shepherd.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann Damron Mantle; one daughter, Megan Damron of Catlettsburg; two sons, Jace Damron and Thomas Scott Damron both of Catlettsburg; three sisters, Patricia (Chuck) Darby of Ashland, Linda Johnson of Ashland and Connie (Glenn) Fultz of Catlettsburg; one brother, Joseph (Belinda) Mantle of Russell; two grandchildren, Trae Colby Lane Damron and Elizabeth Shae Damron both of Marion, OH.; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2017, at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery NE by Brother Johny Stapleton. Military services will be conducted by the Kenova American Legion Post 93.
There will be no visitation.
Miller Funeral Home in Ashland is in charge of arrangements.
