Wanda's Story

Wanda Heineman, 87, of Lexington, KY, formerly of Russell, KY, went to be with the Lord December 22, 2017, at Willows at Hamburg in Lexington.
Mrs. Heineman was born September 30, 1930, in York, KY, a daughter of the late William and Rose Patton Miller.
Wanda was a long-time member of Russell Christian Church/Bridges Christian Church. She volunteered at the Helping Hands in Greenup for several years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis "Bud" Heineman; two brothers, Harold D. Miller and Edgar Miller; and one sister, Judy Virgin.
She is survived by one son, Richard and Kathy Heineman of Winchester, KY; two brothers, Hershell Miller of Raceland, KY, and Ronald Miller of Flatwoods, KY; two grandchildren, Stacy Heineman and Sean (Karen Turner) Heineman; three great-grandchildren, Dylan Heineman, Adina Heineman and Kenley Heineman.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. December 27, 2017, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Pastor Doug Virgin. Burial will be at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods, KY.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made towards Helping Hands in Greenup (412 East Main Street Greenup, KY 41144) or Hospice of the Bluegrass (381 Codell Drive, Lexington, KY).
