Willie Faye VanHoose, 90, of Catlettsburg, passed away Tues., Nov. 6, 2018 in Kingsbrook Lifecare Center.
She was born June 22, 1928 in Lawrence County, Ky., a daughter of the late Wade and Anna Bellomy Vanhorn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lofty VanHoose, Jr. in 2015; grandson, Jason VanHoose in 2013; brothers, Roy Vanhorn, Garland Vanhorn and Fred Vanhorn.
Willie was a member of Garner Baptist Church. She was a charter member of Greenhill O.E.S. 567. Willie was a graduate of Boyd County High School and retired after many years of service from the Bank of Ashland.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Lee (Helen) VanHoose of Catlettsburg, Ky., and David (Pam) VanHoose of Catlettsburg, Ky.; grandchildren, Gary Joe VanHoose, Jenny Crews, and Carrie Aeh; six great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
A celebration of Willie's life will be held at 11 a.m. Sat., Nov. 10, 2018 at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel with words of comfort provided by Rev. Gary Arrington and Rev. Stan Williams. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Fri. at the funeral home where there will be an Eastern Star service at 7 p.m.

It was a pleasure to take care of Willie at Kingsbrook. She made my life so much brighter while she was there. She always kept me smiling, never knew what she was going to say. My condolences to the family.
