Wilma Hurley Sparks, 88, of Ashland, passed away Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, in Community Hospice Care Center.
She was born April 21, 1929, in Ashland, the daughter of the late Roy and Verna Osborn Hurley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ottis Paul Sparks.
She was a homemaker and loving mother. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher and a member of the choir.
She is survived by two daughters, Tammy (Joe) Pemberton of Chesapeake, Ohio and Debra Daniels of Ashland; two sons, Tim (Tina) Sparks of Russell and Danny (Debbie) Sparks of Morehead; one sister, Juanita McGlothin of Ashland; five grandchildren, Adam (Jill) Daniels, Christopher Sparks, Joshua (Amy) Pemberton, Daniel (Amber) Pemberton and Jessica Sparks; and four great-grandchildren, Noah Daniels, Liam Pemberton, Mercy Pemberton and Cross Pemberton.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, at Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Rice Officiating. Burial will be in Golden oaks Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
