Alice Joann Hillard, 79, of Franklin, Tenn., died Aug. 16, 2017.
She was born May 10, 1938, in Chandlersville, Ky., to the late Clifford and Nora Pack.
Joann graduated from Ashland High School and Ashland Junior College before beginning a long term career with Chesapeake and Ohio Railway and USS Chemical Corporation. After a career and raising children in Ashland, she retired to Tennessee to be near her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Jack Hillard (Elizabeth) of Lexington; and daughter, Jennifer Hillard Farris of Franklin, Tenn.; grandmother of William and Jackson Farris; sister of Jane Pack of Ashland, Lee Fannin of Winter Park, Fla., Mary Wilburn of Stuart, Fla., and Charles Pack (Kay) of Ashland; nephews, Vince Fannin (Jennifer) of Katy, Texas, Ben Pack (Cindy) of Ironton, Ohio, Jim Pack (Erin) of Auburn, Ala., Charlie Pack (Misty) of Raceland; and niece, Michelle Galli (Matthew) of Stuart, Fla.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, at First Baptist Church in Ashland located at 1701 Winchester Avenue with visitation beginning at 3 p.m.
