Florence Ann Blazer, 80, of Ashland, loving wife of James Blazer, passed away late Tuesday evening, Oct. 3, 2017, in King's Daughters Medical Center, following an extended illness.
Ann was born Aug. 18, 1937, in Monmouth, Ill., to the late Lemoine Seaton and Lucy Belle Harrison Duncan.
She graduated high school as Salutatorian of her class. She went on to further her education at Northwestern University, graduating in 1958. She later obtained her Master's Degree in Education from Ohio University. She retired as a Special Education Teacher from Boyd County Middle School.
Ann was a faithful and very devoted member of Community Presbyterian Church of Bellefonte. She was a member of P.E.O. Boyd County Chapter AJ, loved to read and a member of a local Book Club for many years, which kept her love of reading alive. Besides reading, Ann Enjoyed gardening, traveling, spending time with her family and driving her Mini Cooper.
Ann is survived by her husband of 57 years, James Beck "Jim" Blazer of Ashland; three daughters, Julie (Ray) Murray of Woodland, Miss., Beth (Mark) Conner of Chillicothe, Ohio and Susan (Eric) Thomas of Navarre, Ohio; four grandchildren, Zach Thomas, Nathan Thomas, Ginny Conner and Katie Conner; and a host of extended family and friends.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, at Community Presbyterian Church of Bellefonte by Pastor Stewart Schneider.
Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Sunday at the Church.
