Audrey Darnell Boyle, 82, of Flatwoods, went to be with the Lord and Savior Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017, in Oakmont Manor in Flatwoods.
She was born in Lynn, Dec. 20, 1935, a daughter of James and Opal Worstell Darnell. Opal passed away while Audrey was young and James later married Ruby Elam, a loving stepmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Gilford Norman Boyle; and a brother, Vernon Darnell.
Audrey was a member of Raceland Christian Church, Church of Christ Fifth Street and retired from the Raceland-Worthington School System.
She is survived by a daughter, Capri Boyle Jones and her husband, Thomas Edward Jones Jr., of Navarre, Fla.; three sons, Dwain Kevin Boyle and his wife, Michele Harris Boyle, of Chesapeake, Ohio, Keith Andrew Boyle of Louisville, and Brian Lee Boyle and his wife, Regina Hamilton Boyle, of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Brittany Boyle Hayes, Sidney Boyle, David Boyle, Jesse Boyle, Seth Boyle and Sean Boyle; three great-grandchildren, Reagan, Carter and Camden Hayes; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
A memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, at Raceland Christian Church by Greg Deaton. Burial will be at Brick Union Cemetery in Lloyd at a later date.
Friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church.
Evans Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
