Barbara Jean Hicks Coffee-Berger, 77, of Ironton, Ohio passed away, Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
The Wurtland native was born April 30, 1939, a daughter to the late Frank and Martha Heaberlin Hicks.
Barbara was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Ray Coffee, who passed away in August 1981; and her second husband, Carl Berger, who passed away in April 2016; her parents; and two sons, Kevin and David Coffee.
Barbara was a 1957 graduate of Wurtland High School. She worked as a retail clerk at Heck's Department store in addition to being a homemaker who loved caring for her family. Barbara was of the Methodist faith and attended Memorial United Methodist Church in Coal Grove, Ohio.
Barbara is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Crum of Greenup and Dreama Gale Coffee of Ironton; a son, Donald Kerry (Dreama) Coffee of Worthington; two step-children, Darren (Dee) Berger of Chapel, N.C. and Carla (Eric) Maddy of Ironton; four sisters, Helena Hicks Foster of Ashland, Polly (Jim) Cox of Greenup, Donna Kay (Darrell) White of Greenup and Diana Meenech of Greenup; five brothers, Charles Hicks of Pontiac, Mich., Marvin "Buddy" (Nora) Hicks of London, Ronald Hicks of Grayson, Rodger (Frances) Hicks of Flatwoods and Jack Hicks of Fallschurch, Va.; seven grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, at Tracy Brammer - Monroe Funeral Home in Ironton with Pastors Brad Jenkins and Eric Barnes officiating. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods.
Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
