Billy Carson Young, 64, of Webbville, escorted by his Heavenly Father left this earthly home for paradise Sunday, April 30, 2017, due to complications from cancer.
Carson was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Harold and Roberta (May) Young; his paternal grandparents, David Mayo and Esther (Evans) Young; maternal grandparents, Arvil and Claudia (Carter) May; as well as many dear friends and loved ones.
Carson is survived by his dear loving wife, Ida Mae (Pennington) Young of 42 years, who stood by him in sickness and health until death parted them Sunday morning; his beloved daughter, Angela Renea (Young) Bowling and her husband, Bryant Bowling, and his only grandson whom he absolutely adored, Little Bryson; his little sister, Peggy Sue Young-Lewis and her husband, Ronald Lewis of Isonville; his dearest and best friend since childhood, Randall McNeil of Webbville; and several other family members and friends. All of whom will sadly miss and mourn his passing.
Carson would want you to know his greatest accomplishment in his life was when he gave his life to the good Lord.
Carson drove a truck with his dad for several years before moving on to drive an 18 wheeler hauling coal. When the coal industry slowed down he became a member of a local carpenters union as laborer from where he retired. After retirement Carson was content to be with his family and sweet grandson at home the top of Cherokee Hill listening to the frogs and the song of the whipperwills.
Lets all follow Carson's example by giving our hearts and souls to the Lord above therefore when it comes our time to travel, we will find Carson waiting on the far side banks of Jordan awaiting our arrival.
Graveside services for immediate family and friends will be observed at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at the Young Family Cemetery. Officiating the service will be Pastor David Boggs and Brother Ronald Lewis.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Randall McNeil, Anos Blevins Jr. Scaggs, Michael Cooper, Edward Borders, and Craig McNeil.
