Bonnie Sue Gates, 73, of Ashland, died Friday, July 14, 2017, at her home.
Bonnie was born Aug. 10, 1943, in Ashland, a daughter of the late John William and Mabel Sally Evans.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her first husband, Charles T.A. Queen.
She retired as a dietitian from Our Lady Of Bellefonte Hospital and was a member of Russell Christian Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Reggie Gates; three daughters and their spouses, Tammy Lynn and Jimmie Taylor of Huntington, W.Va., Pamela Kay and Glenn Suttles of Ashland and Billie Ann Conley of Rush; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister and her husband, Linda and Walter Johnson of Flatwoods.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Lazear Funeral Home Chapel in Ashland with Pastor Vernon Lore officiating. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum in Ashland.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, July 17, 2017, at the funeral home.
