Carol Lyons Jacobs, 75, of Hahira, Ga., passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017.
She was born March 8, 1942, in Ashland, to the late Amos Edgar and Eloise Callihan Lyons.
In addition to her parents, She was preceded in death by four siblings, John Lyons, George Lyons, Buddy Lyons and Mary Lyons Muntze.
She has lived in Hahira for the past 36 years. Mrs. Jacob worked with Dadant and Sons Beekeepers for 10 years. She was a member of the Hahira Honey Bee Festival Committee for the past 29 years and served as chairman from 2007 until her passing. She loved reading, working in her flower gardens and sharing her flowers with her neighbors.
She is survived by her husband, Leonard Jacobs of Hahira; two daughters and a son-in-law, Keri Hales of Punxsutwaney, Penn., and Diana and Jon Johnson of Palmrya, Penn; five grandchildren, Jessica Johnson, Aren Johnson, Ryne Johnson, Laia Hales and Liam Hales; her siblings and their spouses, Steve and Sue Lyons of Grayson, Marilyn Lyons and Ron King of Ashalnd and Ray and Susan Lyons of Ashland; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
