Carolyn Hobbs McKinney, 81, devoted wife of Earl Frederick McKinney, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017, in the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
She was born May 6, 1935, in Haymond in Letcher County, a daughter of the late George and Edna Kincer Hobbs.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey McKinney; a daughter, Lynda Williams; and a brother, Charles Hobbs.
Mrs. McKinney was a member of Southland Christian Church and an active member of BSF. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors other than her husband include two daughters, Jill Danette (Robert) Jones of Lexington, Cynthia Paige Torres of Hollywood, Fla.; a son, Keith McKinney of Louisville; 16 grandchildren, Carolyn Blair Worley, Kyle Van McKinney, Susan Katherine Williamson, Katherine Ann McKinney, Alyssa Paige Wolf, Madison Danette Jones, Matthew Christian McKinney, Keith Frederick McKinney, Sebastian Devin Torres, Tabitha Paige Torres, Victoria Renee Torres, Casey Lauren McKinney, Taylor Constance McKinney and Conner Chapman Jones; a sister, Lynda Hollan; a brother, Darrell Hobbs; five great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Pamela Ann McKinney; and a son-in-law, Greg Williams.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2017, at Southland Christian Church, building "B", 5001 Harrodsburg Road in Nicholasville by Brewster McLeod, Jon Weece and Todd Tyler. Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017, at the church in building "B".
