Claude Elliot, 86, of Worthington, died Thursday in Oakmont Manor in Flatwoods.
He was born Nov. 1, 1930, in Catlettsburg, to the late Herbert and Ruby Nolan Elliot.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Rosetta Laney Elliot; two sisters, Ethel Conley of Huntington, W.Va., and Virginia Lemaster of Catlettsburg; and two brothers, Ernest Elliot and Paul Elliot, both of Catlettsburg.
He is survived by his son, Phillip Ernest Elliot of Worthington; his daughter, Claudiene Elliot (Lee) Mullins of Worthington; three grandchildren, Jessica Eleanor Mullins (Scott) Niece of Raceland, Philip Brian Mullins of Worthington and Dru Hunter Elliot of Lexington; one great-grandson, Wyatt Lee Bennett Niece of Raceland; two brothers, Bill Elliot and John Elliot, both of Catlettsburg; and two sisters, Ernestine Fortner of Huntington, W.Va., and Patsy Cartmel of Louisa; and a very special family that cared for him at Oakmont Manor. We will be forever grateful for their kindness and care.
Claude retired from CSX after 42 years of service. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a third degree Mason with the Hampton Lodge in Catlettsburg and a Shriner with El Hasa Temple. He was a member of Greenup Church of God.
He will be laid to rest with a private graveside service at the Catlettsburg Cemetery.
Evans Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
