Cody's Story

Cody Vance Williams Sr., passed from this world into the heavenly arms of Jesus April 27, 2017, with his family by his side.
Cody was born Aug. 29, 1959, in Ashland, to the late Archie and Edith Crisp Williams.
In addition to his parents, Cody was preceded in death by his three sisters, Joyce Conley, Gwendolyn and Pam Williams; and a brother, Vincent Williams.
He graduated from Boyd County High School in 1976. He worked as a spray foreman (hired killer) for RWC in Westerville, Ohio for 19 years. His work took him all over the United States, but he always loved to be with his family. Cody loved to hunt, fish and spend time with family. His kind, generous and caring spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He attended Centenary United Methodist Church.
Cody leaves behind his wife of 34 years, Donna Gosnay Williams; and their five children, Cher (Scott) Kiser from Ashland, J.C. (Lisa) Williams, Cody (Tara) Williams Jr., Michelle (Josh) Williams and Ashlea Williams, all of Catlettsburg; 12 grandchildren, Will and Molly Kiser of Fort Walton, Fla., Tyler, Jakob, and Jessie Williams, Gracie Opell, Whitny, Rilynne and Maya Williams, Diesel, Jorja and Ascher Riggs, all of Catlettsburg; two brothers, John D.(Connie) Williams and Phillip (Alberta) Williams Sr.; and a host of nieces and nephews that will miss their Uncle Cody.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 1, 2017, at Neal Funeral Home in Catlettsburg with Pastor David Herndon officiating. Final resting place will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland.
Visiting hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2017, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Community Hospice and Pancreatic Cancer Research.
