Debra Smith Lawson, 52, of Ashland, passed away Wednesday April 5, 2017, in Community Hospice Care Center.
Mrs. Lawson was born Oct. 16, 1964, in Ashland, to John and Donna Barnett Smith.
She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Armstrong; two children by marriage, Donald Martin Lawson II and Wesley Edward Lawson; and a grandmother, Charlene Barnett.
Debra was a 1982 graduate of Boyd County High School, a homemaker, and member of the Brothers of the Wheel. Her hobbies included riding motorcycles, playing pool, and crafts. She loved going to the beach.
Debra is survived by her husband, Donald Lawson; one son, Jason Keyser of Ashland; and her parents, John and Donna Smith of Ashland; two sons by marriage, Chandler Lawson and Charles Lawson, both of Ashland; and a daughter by marriage, Lisa McComis of West Virginia; a special Aunt and Uncle, Tina and Gary Bush; a granddaughter, Taylor Leighann Armstrong of Bardstown; three grandchildren by marriage, Darrin, Meldy and Maryann McComis, all of West Virginia; and a sister-in-law, Connie Griffitt.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2017, at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home in Catlettsburg with Pastor Stan Williams and Brother Buddy Baker officiating. Final resting place will in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland.
Visiting hours will be after 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
