Donald Ray "Don" Leibee, 73, of Coal Grove, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, in Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
Mr. Leibee was born Feb. 2, 1944, in Ashland, a son to the late George and Ethel Litteral Leibee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Venz Leibee, who passed away in 1989; a sister, Dorothy Bennett; and two brothers, James Cecil "Jim" Leibee and James Harmon Leibee.
Mr. Leibee was a 1961 graduate of Fairview High School and a graduate of School of Cosmetology in Atlanta, Ga. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve. He was a self-employed hairdresser for over 50 years. Mr. Leibee enjoyed genealogy and ancestry, gardening and was a Mason. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Ironton.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Janice Hunley Leibee, whom he married November 20, 1992; a daughter, Elizabeth Leibee of Ironton; a son, Brent (Michele) Leibee of Atlanta, Ga.; a grandson, Blake Leibee of Atlanta, Ga.; a granddaughter, Brooke Parker of Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters, Mary Lou Johnson of Ashland and Wanda Haldoupis of Boynton Beach, Fla.; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; a special nephew, Dana Johnson of Ashland; two special friends, Bob Wheeler of Ashland and Betty Ray Vickers of South Point, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home in Ironton, Ohio with Brother Chad Pemberton officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery. Visitation for friends and family will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
