Donna Kay (Middleton) Riley, 73, passed away Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, in St. Petersburg, Fla., after a sudden illness following her leukemia remission.
Devoted wife to Pastor Curtis Martin Riley prior to his passing in 2009, she was a loving mother and grandmother, beloved by her family and friends across the country.
Throughout her life she was active in the Methodist Church serving as a youth leader and later as pastor's wife. She was also a passionate and vocal democrat, an advocate for the less-fortunate and for equal rights for all and a supporter of animal rights.
She is survived by her mother, Bonnie (Middleton) Bender; her brother, Donald Middleton; her sister, Patricia Adams (Middleton); her daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Michael Herbst of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Kimberly and Alessandro Menozzi of Reggio Emilia, Italy and Lisa Riley of Ashland; her sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Michelle Hudson of Ashland, and John and Amber Riley of Columbus, Ohio; and her grandchildren, Audrey Mefford, Charlie Hudson, Kelsey and Jordan Herbst, Brooke and Nikki Gee, Beau, Ava, Griffin and Scarlett Riley; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Feb. 4. 2017, at East Fork United Methodist Church, 20100 State Route 3 in Rush.
