Dorothy Steele, 83, of Grayson, passed away Friday, July 7, 2017, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 30, 1934, in Grayson, a daughter of the late Coy and Della Waggoner Kiser.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Paul Garlin Steele; a son, Paul Garry Steele; a daughter, Teresa Steele; a granddaughter, Misty Jackson Rucker; a son-in-law, Michael Jackson; and six brothers; Edward, Billy, Ray, Fred, James, and Kenneth Kiser.
She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters, Robin Jackson and Brenda Steele, both of Grayson; a son, Billy Steele of Grayson; four grandchildren; Garry Lee (Spring) Steele, Sarah (Jason) Winkleman, Faith Steele and Matthew Jackson, all of Grayson; ten great-grandchildren, Larissa James, Aden Rucker, Tayla Steele, Mariah Steele, Garry David Steele, Zachary McGuffin, Sarah Mae McGuffin, Chase McGuffin, Ally Miller and Abagail Miller, all of Grayson; seven great-great-grandchildren, Aria James, Leland Sexton, Ryker Sexton, Paxton Marcum, Xander Marcum, Kinleigh Smith and Zachary Kane McGuffin, all of Grayson.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2017, at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson with David Wade Sr. and Eddie Seagraves officiating. Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
