Dr. Dreama's Story
Dr. Dreama Darlene Rucker, 45, of Morehead, formerly of Ashland, went to be with her Lord Friday, Dec. 23, 2016.
Dreama was born Jan. 4, 1971, in Ashland, a daughter of Joyce Gail Porter of Summit and Harry Wayne Rucker of Trace.
She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Norma Johnson.
Dreama was a Doctor at St. Claire Medical Center in Frenchburg and Morehead for more than 14 years. She graduated from University of Kentucky Medical School in 1999. She loved riding her Harley Davidson, going on trips to the Smoky Mountains, shopping, her animals and drinking Coke. Dreama loved caring for her patients and even went on house calls when they were unable to leave their home.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Eddie Lee Johnson; a brother, Jeremy Rucker of Summit; two nephews, Austin Wayne Rucker of Ashland and Brett Allen Rucker of Ashland; a brother-in-law, Craig (Serita) Johnson of Lexington; a sister-in-law, Diane (Bill) Loveday of Tennessee; and a host of extended family and friends who all mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2016, at Coalton Community Church with Bill Gullet officiating. Burial will be in Cribbs Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 pm Thursday at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson and after 10 a.m. Friday at the church.
