Franklin Glass, 78, of Grayson, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017, at his residence.
He was born May 13, 1938 in Grayson, a son of the late Claude and Florence Everman Glass.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lorene Greer and Grace Haney.
He workeded for many years at AC Lawrence Leather Company in Ashland and has recently worked for Cook's Family Foods in Grayson. He had many duties including, maintenance, welding, electrical and plumbing. He was a lifelong farmer. He was very active in First Church of God of Grayson and served as a superintendent and treasurer.
He is survived by two sons, Jon (Janie) Glass and Greg (Beverly) Glass, both of Grayson; a brother, Hubert Glass of Argilite; two sisters, Dorothy Carroll of Grayson and Lois Haney of Columbus, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Morrow Greer of Ashland; three grandchildren, Autumn (Joe) Colvin-Glass, Candice (Justin) Glass, and Angel Rose Glass; and two great-grandchildren, Tyrian Tackett and Onyx Colvin-Glass.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson with John Lybrook officiating. Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2017, at the funeral home.
