Gerald Dean Dalton Sr., 70, of South Point, Ohio, passed away Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, in Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, W.Va.
He was born July 6, 1946, in Catlettsburg, a son of the late Walter and Jesse Prince Dalton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Gerald D. Dalton Jr.; two brothers, Bill Dalton and Jeff Dalton; and two sisters, Nora Dalton and Patricia Ratliff.
Gerald was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Huntington. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Vietnam era. He retired from AK Steel as a heavy equipment operator.
He is survived by his wife, Alida Mae Jackson Dalton; his daughter, Christina Dalton; a sister, Betty Clark; a brother, Michael Dalton; and a grandson, Denzel Dalton.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Huntington with Denver Majher officiating.
