Gladys M. Branham, 88, of Russell, went to be with the Lord Thursday, June 1, 2017, at her home.
Mrs. Branham was born Sept. 9, 1928, in Raceland, a daughter of the late Delpha and Artie Perdue Pennington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Branham Jr.; one brother, Mose Pennington; one sister, Rosie Oskins; one son, Kyle Keith Branham; and one, grandson Marvin Brent Grubb.
She was the former owner of Russell City Cab and loved to attend Chinns Branch Freewill Baptist Church in Wurtland.
She is survived by her three daughters, Connie (Anthony) Barney of Worthington, Ginger (Marvin) Grubb of Wurtland and Penny (Tony) George of Flatwoods; one brother, Garland Logsdon of Astro, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Chris Grubb, Nicklaus Barney, Renee Stiltner, Jeremy Grubb, Stephanie Branham, Kaytee Grubb and Tyler Phelps; 14 great-grandchildren, Bradly, Madelyn, Samuel, George, Lillian, Landen, Addison, Brooke, Brenton, Brantley, Analynn, Paige, Payton and Cooper; three special pets, Frisky, Blackie and Daisy Mae; and many wonderful friends that she considered her own family.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2017, at Evans Funeral home in Raceland with Rev. Danny Brown and Rev. Denver Woods officiating. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Garden in Flatwoods.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, June 4, 2017, and after noon Monday at the funeral home.
