Helen L. Wilson Warne, 67, of Sandy Hook, passed away Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
Helen was born Feb. 23, 1949, in Elliott County, the daughter of the late Cecil and Vergie Kidd Wilson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Lynn Warne; four brothers, Terry, Glen and Ralph Wilson and Cecil Wilson Jr.; a sister, Ruthie Phipps; two sisters-in-law, Sue and Patty Wilson; and a nephew, Channing Allen.
She was a former childcare provider and attended Hope Enterprise Baptist Church, when she was able.
Helen is survived by her loving daughters and sons-in-law, Bobbie Howard and husband Chris of Sandy Hook and Tina Ferguson and husband Junior of Wrigley; her granddaughter, Makena Skye Ferguson; a son that she never had, Matt Farley; her sisters and brothers, Gail and Mark Umberger of Morehead, Lois and Randy Dickerson of Sandy Hook, Debbie Bennett of Orlando, Fla., Darlene and Gene Swagger of Orlando, Jeanie and Jimmy Smith of West Liberty, Burl and Brenda Wilson of West Liberty, Ora Wilson of Xenia, Ohio, Stanley and Elvona Wilson of Sandy Hook, Cobern and Pam Wilson of West Liberty, Jimmy Wilson of Wrigley and Randy and Sherry Wilson of Fairborn, Ohio; and her best friends, Sue Lewis and Betty Black.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017, at Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home in Sandy Hook with Brother Dean Ball officiating. Burial will be in Elliott County Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
