James Ross Bain, 81, of Greenup, formerly of Goshen, Ohio, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
Mr. Bain was born Sept. 15, 1936, in Tinsley, a son of the late Spencer Albright and Elizabeth Wright Bain.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Jean Gray; one brother, Ben Bain; three nephews, Mark Kincaid, Dillard Gray and Dennis Gray; and one uncle, Walter Marsee.
He was a member of Couzaddale Open Door Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Margaret Hendrickson Bain; one brother, Clinton Bain of Orlando, Fla.; two sisters, Linda Bain of Sanford, Fla., and Dayme Patterson of Flatlicky; one aunt, Florence Goodsell; one special granddaughter, Brenna Pairan; nine nieces, Megan Pearison, Adessa Beth Kays, Jami Zimmer, Patricia Bain, Sherry Hendrickson, Diane Cooper, Donna Miller, Louise Fasanelli and Juanita Thomas; and nine nephews, Dwight Bain, Lee Hendrickson, John Music, Don Hendrickson, Michael Patterson, Terry Bain, Gary Bain, Colin Bain and Tony Gray.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Brother Wayne Stephenson. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods.
Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
