James A. DeBoard, 67, of Greenup, died Saturday, May 20, 2017, at his home in Greenup.
He was born Oct. 15, 1949, at Red Jacket, W.Va., a son of the late John H. and Hazel Mullett DeBoard. In addition to his parents, James was preceeded by his first wife, Kathy Perkins DeBoard in 2015; and four brothers, Edmal, John Franklin, Donald Ray and Roger Lee DeBoard.
He was self-employed and he was a member of The Freedom Tabernacle Church in Webbville.
Surviving are his wife, Brenda Sprouse DeBoard; three daughters and their spouses, Tammy and Eddie Sprouse of Webbville, Sheila and Bill Akers of Greenup, and Tammie and John Fraley of Westwood; three sisters and their spouses, Ruby Church of Ashland, Brenda and Clifford Stevens of Webbville, and Susan Harris of Ashland;, six grandchildren, Kenny Fraley, Shelby Fraley, Eddie Sprouse, Brandon Sprouse, Everett Akers and Chelsea Akers; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for James will be at noon Thursday, May 25, 2017, at the Freedom Tabernacle Chruch in Webbville by Pastor Matthew Adams. Burial will be in Freedom Tabernacle Church Cemetery in Webbville.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at the church.
