James Wesley Rayburn, 70, of Oneonta, Ala., formerly of Greenup, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017, in Cullman Reginal Medical Center in Cullman, Ala.
He was born Dec. 24, 1946, in Greenup, a son of the late Willie Rayburn and Nellie Ingles Rayburn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Rayburn and Bobby Rayburn.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Potter Rayburn; two sons, Bill (Vickie) Rayburn of Blountsville, Ala., and Randall (Peggie) Rayburn of South Shore; three daughters, Tangeala (Sis) Bevens of Urbana, Ohio, Teresa Swank of Piqua, Ohio and Bobbie Drew of Oneonta, Ala.; one brother, Timothy Rayburn of Worthington; three sisters, Willa Royster of London, Ohio, Jessie Potter of Worthington and Cathy Knisley of St. Paris, Ohio; twelve grandchildren; twenty four great-grandchildren; and three grandchildren of the heart.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore with Elder Ezra Burton and Pastor Gary Burton officiating. Burial will be Callihan Cemetery in Greenup. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
