Janet Marie Poplin, 76, of Ashland, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017, in Caring South Shore Nursing and Rehab Center.
Mrs. Poplin was born March 17, 1941, in Letcher County, a daughter of the late Martin and Damie Bentley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by her brother, Cecil Bentley; three sisters, Edna Grimes, Imogene Davis and Delores Vanhoose.
She was a long time member of Greenup Church of God. She was loved by many and will be missed.
Janet is survived by four sons, Michael (Melissa) Poplin of Boyd County, Kenny (Stephanie) Poplin of Greenup, Terry (Lynziebeth) Poplin of Louisville and John (Misty) Poplin of Scioto, Ohio; three sisters, Ollie (Don) Scott of Spencer, Tenn., Mable Webb of Ashland and Morene Wright of Wellston, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2017, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup with Brother David Poplin officiating. Burial will be in Poynter Cemetery in Argillite.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and after 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
