Joann Boyle Snoddy, 86, of Wilmore, formerly of Wurtland, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016, in Wesley Village Senior Living Community in Wilmore.
She was born Sept. 18, 1930, in Portmouth, Ohio, a daughter of the late Arthur and Opal Alexander Boyle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Timothy K. Snoddy; three sisters, Wanda Sperry, Theda Eldridge and Bonnie Elswick; and two brothers, Dallas Boyle and Gilford Boyle.
She was a member of Gideon's International Auxiliary, United Methodist Church and together with her husband owned the former Snoddy Insurance Agency in Raceland.
She is survived by her husband, Clinton Elwood Snoddy; a daughter, Terrie Lyn Stuart and husband The Rev. Farley Stuart III of Lexington; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sharon Payne and Bernice Williams; a brother, Garol Boyle; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016, at Ashland Cemetery Chapel with The Rev. Farley Stuart III officiating.
There will not be any visitation.
