Juanita Braden, 90, of Greenup, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 19, 2017, in Oakmont Manor in Flatwoods.
Mrs. Braden was born March 8, 1927, a daughter of the late Chester and Pearl Woods Carter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Elmer Braden; four brothers, Earl Carter, Lloyd Carter, Boyd Carter and Willie Douglas Carter; and three sisters, Fern Carter-Hall, Ruhumah Crider and Jowanda Carter-Howard.
She was a member of Load Christian Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by two sons, Bruce and Wanda Braden of Load and Jeffrey and Anita Braden of Lynn; three grandchildren, Chad and Maggie Braden, Hope and Stephen Braden Perkey and Jill Braden; and three great-grandchildren, Rylan Braden, Molly Perkey and Van Braden.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2017, at Load Christian Baptist Church in Load. Burial will be in Chaffins Cemetery in Load.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup and after 10 a.m. Friday at the church.
