Linda June Connelly, 70, of North Port, Fla., formally of Wurtland, went to be with the Lord Jan. 12, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her family and close friends.
She was born Dec. 16, 1946, in Ashland, a daughter of Vernon and Hope Cornett Mullins.
Linda was preceded in death by her father; and a brother, Kenneth Mullins.
She was a member of Greenup First Baptist Church where she served the Lord for many years. Linda battled breast cancer bravely since 2009 and never lost her spirit and love for her Savior. She was dedicated to her work at her church in Tennessee and in Greenup. Linda and her husband continued to work at a church camp in Florida.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Edmond S. Connelly; two daughters, Cretia R. Woods (Johnny Burton) of Grayson and Sandra Carter (Richard Helblig) of South Carolina; a son, Michael E. Connelly of Grayson; seven grandchildren, Jordan R. Stevens, Lindsey R. Woods, Samuel J. Woods, Angela S. Connelly, Serene Owens, Patra Garrett and Wendy Carter; six great-grandchildren, Bentley I. Stevens, Jackson R. Stevens, Easton M. Lederer, Harper Owens, Shayla Epps and Jason Epps; three brothers, Joseph Mullins and wife Donna of Ironton, Ohio, Gene Mullins and wife Debbie of Raceland and Earl Spears and wife Helen of Argillite; one sister, Ginni Blevins and her husband Carroll of Greenup; and host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be at a later date.
Wright's Funeral Home in Greenup is in charge of arrangements.
