Linda Madden Evans, 60, of Raceland, went to be with our Lord and Savior Sunday April 2, 2017, at her home.
Linda was born Oct. 24, 1956, a daughter of the late Elwood and Anna Lee Madden.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Mitchell Madden.
Linda was owner of Evans Funeral Home in Raceland with her husband David for 35 years. She was a devout Christian and of the Methodist faith. She believed in giving to others. She was active in the charitable car club, Greenup County Cruisers. She was also active in donating to the Ashland area homeless.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, David Evans; her son, Shawn D. Evans; two brothers, Perry (Susan) Madden of Flatwoods and Roger (Alisa) Madden of Flatwoods; one sister, Mary (Chris) Ralph of Georgetown; a sister-in-law, Glenna (Jeff) Sanders; and several nieces, nephews and friends she loved as if they were her own siblings and children.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Evans Funeral Home in Raceland with Dr. Tommy Melvin officiating. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery in Raceland.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at the funeral home.
