Mary Jo Moore, 81, of Ashland, passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2017, at her residence.
She was born March 7, 1935, in Lexington, a daughter of the late Thomas and Sally Jobe Hutchens. She was also preceded by her loving husband, Millard V. "Jack" Moore in 1998; and an infant daughter, Michelle Moore.
Mary Jo was a member of Old Orchard Christian Church where she served as Treasurer. She was a loving and devoted homemaker and worked as an office manager with M & G Neurophysiology.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen (Christine) Moore of Georgetown and Mark (Robin) Moore of Covington, La.; a daughter, Nancy (Dave) Miller of Ashland; brothers Arthur and Melvin Hutchens of Lexington; sisters Lucy Duvalle of Lexington, Kathleen Hawkins of Lake Wales, Fla. and Judy Ritchie of Port Orange, Fla.; grandchildren Lakin Manning, Mikal Miller, Katelyn Miller, Nicholas Miller, Joshua Moore, Cooper Jack Moore, Sterling Moore and Simon Moore; a great-grandson, Porter Manning; and two honorary grandchildren, Camryn and Tabitha Cassidy.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, at Old Orchard Christian Church with Pastor Joey Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
