Olive G. Lamblin, 93, of Raceland, went to be with the Lord March 18, 2017, in Trinity Station Retirement Community in Flatwoods.
Mrs. Lamblin was born Nov. 30, 1923, in Ontario, Canada, a daughter of the late A.S. and Mabel (Hyde) Morgan. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband of more than 50 years, C. Taylor Lamblin Jr.; two sisters, Mabel (V.J.) Edney and Anne (C.C.) Garretson; and two brothers, George Bennett Morgan and Ranald Morgan.
Mrs. Lamblin is a graduate of Raceland High School and attended Eastern Kentucky University. She retired from the social security branch of the U.S. government. She was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church in Raceland, United Methodist Women, Goodwill Circle and the Heritage Group of Grace UMC.
Surviving are one son, C.T. (Debbie) Lamblin of Danville; two daughters, Pamela Lamblin and Marilyn Lamblin both of Raceland; two grandchildren, Caren Ashley Lamblin and C. Taylor (Jenna) Lamblin (IV); and a great-grandchild, Savannah Leigh; and her other family, the caring people/management of Trinity Station Retirement Community of Flatwoods who cared for her as their own.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at Grace United Methodist Church in Raceland with Dr. Tommy Melvin and Pastor Phillip Nunley officiating. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
