Paul J. Arthur, 74, of Raceland, passed away suddenly Sunday, July 30, 2017, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.
Butch was born April 23, 1943, in Flatwoods, to the late Joseph and Hazel Cox Arthur.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Sparks, Lucille Huffman and Shirley Proctor.
Butch was a member and Deacon of Wurtland Freewill Baptist Church and a U.S.Airforce Veteran. He retired as an Electrician from Sun Chemical and owned Arthur Electric.
Butch is survived by his wife of 51 years, Delores Sparks Arthur; two sons, John and wife Teresa Arthur of Greensboro, N.C. and Joseph E. and wife Kristen Arthur of Ashland; one brother, Bob Arthur of Okachobee, Fla.; two sisters Ruth Ramey of Lewisburg, Ohio and Fannie Jenkins of Flatwoods; and two granchildren, Cameron Barnhart and Devon Arthur.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017, at Music Family Funeral Home in Greenup with Brother Roy Roach officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
