Roy David Moore, 73, of Greenup, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 8, 2017, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
Mr. Moore was born Sept. 20, 1943 in Kentucky, a son of the late Roy Moore and Allene Barker Moore.
In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by one grandson, Aaron Murray; one brother, Jerry Richard Moore; two nephews, John (Shana) Moore and Jim (Denise) Moore.
He was retired from Wallace & White Funeral Home in Stewart, Fla.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patty Ratliff Moore; his stepfather, Rogar A. Miller of Flatwoods; three sons, Duane (Bethany) of Chattanooga, Tenn., Brian (Abby) Moore of Pensacola, Fla. and Darin (Kathy) Moore of Port St. Lucy, Fla.; one stepson, Brian Coffee of Virginia Beach, Va.; two daughters, Lisa (Charles) Murray of Columbus, Ohio and Tersa Moore of Baton Rouge. La.; one brother, Danny (Deloris) Moore of Flatwoods; one niece, Tammy Van Eerten of New Washington, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 10, 2017, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East in Greenup County with The Rev. John Lybrook officiating and military rites by Kenova American Legion Post 93.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Ave., Ashland, KY 41101.
Evans Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
