Sarah Beth Hesson, 28, of Huntington, W.Va., formerly of Rush, went to be with her Lord Friday, Dec. 30, 2106, in University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, following a long illness.
She was born July 16, 1988, in Ashland a loving daughter of Duane (Connie) Dixon Sr. of Grayson and Beverly (Charles) Stephens of Rush.
She was employed at Smithfield Foods, attended Faith Freewill Baptist Church and was a former firefighter with Norton Branch Fire Department. Sarah was raised by her grandparents, Carl Berry of Rush and the late Mary Helen Felty Berry.
She is survived by her husband of five years, Marsh Hesson; three stepsons, Levi Hesson of Huntington, Richard Searls of Huntington and Ronald "Dean" Adkins of Rush; two stepsisters, April Blair of Ohio and Lashawna (Josh) Logan of Grayson; three half-brothers, Brandon (Kaitlyn) Berry of Grayson, Darron (Andrea) Dixon of Ashland and Duane (Sara) Dixon Jr. of Ohio; her best friend, Rose Knipp; a niece, Hannah Berry; a nephew Isaiah Berry; and a host of other cousins and relatives to mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Ministers Mickey King and Larry Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Felty Family Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday and after noon Sunday at the funeral home.
