Sheila Joyce McKnight, 70, of Ashland, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017, in Wurtland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Aug. 18, 1946, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Charles Vernon and Madine Horn Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her Husband Paul "Tougie" McKnight Jr.; and two brothers, John David Johnson and Tommy Johnson.
Sheila was a 1964 graduate of Boyd County High School. She loved being outdoors and enjoyed gardening. She had a giving heart always caring for the elderly and anyone in need. Sheila was a devoted loving homemaker.
She is survived by a son, Timothy W. McKnight and his wife, Sherry, of Pocahontas, Ill.; a brother, Charles Johnson Jr. and his wife, Norma, of Ashland; grandchildren, Timothy Wayne McKnight Jr. and Stephanie Leanne McKnight (Jimmy) Clanton; and a great-grandchild, Laney Jordan Clanton.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 8, 2017, at Ashland Cemetery with Chaplain Jimm Smedley officiating.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Thursday at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland.
