Stanley Ramey, 65, of Raceland, went to be with the Lord Sunday, Dec. 25, 2016, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
Mr. Ramey was born Aug. 25, 1951, in Hurricane, W.Va., a son of Alfred "Al" and Joyce Adkins Ramey.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Russell. He was the former director of Greenup Meals on Wheels and retired from CSX as an conductor.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Wright Ramey; three daughters, Rhonda Armstrong of Columbus, Ga., Rebecca Dillow of Hampton Va., and Lori Dillow of Ashland; four sons, Major Drew (Erin) Ramey of Japan; Carl (Janie) Dillow of Coal Grove, Ohio; Jesse (Denice) Dillow of Ashland and Tony(Joy) Dillow of Louisa; two sisters, Dawn Blevins of Lloyd and Belinda (Eddie) Gumbert of North Carolina; one brother, Darrell (Joyce) Ramey of Portsmouth, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends who loved him.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2016, at Russell First Baptist Church with The Rev. Brian Harper and Rev. Ken Cowin officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be after 11a.m. Friday at the church. Entombment will be in Ashland Cemetery Mausoleum in Ashland.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Greenup Meals on Wheels, 807 Seaton Ave., Greenup, KY 41144.
Evans Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
