Syble Morris, 75, of Grayson, passed away Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
She was born June 17, 1941, in Grayson; a daughter of the late Hughie and Rosie Oney McDavid. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Wayne McDavid and Gene McDavid.
She was a graduate of Prichard High School and Ashland Community College where she received her nursing degree. She was employed at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital as a registered nurse for 23 years. She attended Mt. Chapel United Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Chad Morris of Grayson; a daughter, Crista (Scott) Jarvis of Ashland; two brothers, David McDavid and Chet McDavid both of Grayson; two sisters, Mary Parsons of Grayson and Barbara Burgess of Tampa. Fla.; six grandchildren, Devan Rae Bays, Zachary Morris, Clayton Morris, Tanner Barker, Bailey Morris and Aiden Jarvis; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson. Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens.
Friends may call after noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
