Timothy Steven Rabren, 32, of Lexington, formerly of Ashland, passed away Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, in the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
Tim was born Aug. 9, 1984, in Tampa, Fla., a son to Faith McClain Watson and the late Richard Watson. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Phyllis Dunton, Eugene McClain, Sally Watson and James C. Watson; great-grandfather, John C. Benjamin; and an uncle, Bob Watson.
Tim was a 2002 graduate of Boyd County High School and attended Morehead State University. He was a short order cook for Tolly Ho Restaurant. He was an avid sports fan of any and all sports, he played baseball as a catcher when he was younger. He loved music, movies and was very intelligent, a true math whiz. In High School he was voted "Best Hair" and was in the Who's Who for aptitude in Sports. He was of the Baptist faith and attended First Baptist Church Russell.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Timothy Preston Rabren of Ashland; a brother, Richard Watson Jr. of Lexington; and a sister, Amanda Watson of Lexington.
Funeral service will be at 3 p.m, Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, at First Baptist Church Russell, 901 Ashland Drive in Russell with Pastor Ken Gowin officating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashland.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the church.
Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home in Ironton is in charge of arrangements.
