Vickie Jonda Oreta, 51, of Greenup, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017, in Saint Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va., with her loving family by her side.
Vickie was born Jan. 13, 1966, in Ashland, a daughter of Doris Martin Wright Hannah of Greenup and the late Johnny Wright. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Cassie Felty Craft; and one stepson, Michael Oreta.
Vickie was a 1984 graduate of Greenup County High School. She worked as the medical administrator at Family Medical Care (Dr. Oreta's Office) in Greenup. She was also one of the founders of the Greenup Dance Club in 2002 with her husband where they shared their love for song and dance with others.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Dr. Dante Oreta; one daughter, Elisa (Colden) Ellerbrock of Greenup; stepfather Charles Hannah; two stepsons, Daniel Oreta of Costa Mesa, Calif. and Jose Oreta of Louisville; three stepdaughters, Danna (Keith) Davis of Jacksonville, Fla.,
Christina (Jeff) Yee of Costa Mesa, and Cara Oreta of Cookeville, Tenn.; one sister, Shirley (Randy) Royster of Greenup; one granddaughter, Makennah Craft; and nine stepgrandchildren, Luke, Lilly, Liam, Michael, Mia, Kristin, Dante, Ella and M.J.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Pastor Kevin Whitt.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
