Walton "Lee" Jones, 56, of Tazewell, Tenn., was called home Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017.
He was a member of Binghamtown Baptist Church in Middlesboro, Ky. Lee was a graduate of Lincoln Memorial University with a BA in History and an employee of Bluegrass Dedicated Trucking Company. He was a faithful friend, an avid fisherman and passionate about literature.
Lee is preceded in death by his father, Walter Jones Jr.
He is survived by his daughter, Shelly (Matthew) Laux; three sons, Justin (Jaime) Jones, Joshua (Jenna) Jones and Jackson Jones; eight grandchildren, Collin, Alexander, and Bennett Laux, Joshua and Elleigh Jones, Wyatt, Atlas and Ezekiel Jones; his mother, Patty Jones; a sister, Luann (Greg) Thomas; and two nephews, Will (Taylor) Thomas and Gus (Jessica) Thomas.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, at Trinity Funeral Home Chapel in Maynardville with Reverend William Bingham officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017, at Mountain View Cemetery and Memorial Gardens in Harrogate, Tenn. Family and friends will meet at 2:45 p.m. at the cemetery.
