William "WE" Love, 88, of Oak Hill, Ohio, formerly of Russell, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at his residence.
Mr. Love was born Jan. 25, 1929, in Russell, to the late William Sr. and Mattie Love.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Love and Clyde Meadows; and three sisters, Betty Wells, Esther Meadows, and Maxine Meadows.
William proudly served his country and retired from the U.S. Navy. He served in World War II and the Korean War. After his retirement, he began working for C&O Railroad and retired in 1986.
He is survived by his sons, Bill (Jayne) Love and Bob Love; a daughter, Sandra (Tommy) Allen; three grandchildren, Chelsea (Tyler) Bailey, Jessica (Mike) Wooten and Christina (BJ) Wurts; eight great-grandchildren, Sierra, Adrianna, and Audrey Hall, Brooklyn Sheperd, McKenzie Wooton, Levi, Maci and Hope Bailey.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods.
Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods is in charge of arrangements.
